Portfolio

So I had to put together a portfolio for my Intro to Photojournalism class, which was reviewed by two of my prof's here at Loyalist. I just came out of the review, and survived! so I thought I would post it here. Hopefully it works! I have no luck with this site ... on that note, I will be posting some more pictures on here that I've taken this school year. Enjoy!

school school school

So I've barely touched my blog since I created it ... :S For some reason I can't upload photo's at my place:( and the school work is starting to build up. I love it though! I'm actually really surprised at how much I like everything. Not that I planned on being miserable or anything .. lol. But my place is great, I have an awesome landlord. School is amazing, all of my classes are interesting. Most of the time my homework consists of taking photos. It's great. I feel in my element. I'm really excited to see where this year is going to take me and my photos. I think that is what's keeping the homesickness at bay.
I thought I would post a few pictures I took today in class, we were practicing with aperture. In my opinion, our group was the best. haha. Maybe not in terms of picture quality, but it was so much fun practicing. Seriously, class today consisted of us going outside and taking pictures of friends. Can you get any better than that? Anyways, hope you like them!

It's been a while ..

So I've just realized that it's been almost a month since my last post. When I created this blog, I wanted to update it fairly regularly, but I've been a bit caught up with life lately. Trying to get ready for school has taken up most of my time, but all in all it's been a great august :) Part of me is excited for school, a fresh start. And pretty much everything has fallen in place in regards to that, the only thing that I'm waiting for is my OSAP. But that's every student right now hehe. But I've been having so much fun these past few weeks trying to get everything ready for school and enjoying the last bits of summer. I don't want it to end. On the bright side, I've got a bunch of great pictures that I'm going to post soon. There's only about a week and a half until I move, I plan to spent it with good friends and taking lost of pictures.

Decew Falls

School isn't the only new thing in my life right now; a few weeks ago, my new roomie Stephanie along with my new dog Bandet went for a hike at Decew Falls. I didn't get a chance to take too many pictures, keeping up with Bandet took most of my attention. I did get a chance to stop and take a few shots though, these are some of my favourites.

First Post!

So I've never been one for blogging, but since finding out I got accepted to school, I thought it would be neat to use my photo's to document my new surroundings and the last leg of summer.
So for those of you that I haven't talked to recently/told already, I got accepted to Loyalist! it was really unexpected, but a refreshing surprise. It's nice when life surprises you in good ways. I was originally planning on taking the PSW course at Niagara. I'm not really sure why I applied to Loyalist, and didn't give it a second thought after I applied. But after I opened that big envelope, it just made sense. Photojournalism. It combines the only two things I'm really good at and enjoy; photography and writing. Given, I'm not the best writer and my grammar leaves ALOT to be desired. But I'm really excited to start this leg of my journey, it feels like a fresh start. New town, new place, new school, people etc .. And hope to take all of you for the ride :0)
